This past Sunday, June 9th, Mount Newton Centre Society celebrated its 40th Anniversary of incorporation with a Garden Party. This year’s Strawberry Tea Garden Party was attended by friends old and new who enjoyed music, laughter, and refreshments. It was a great success thanks to the time and efforts of so many!
Thank you to the local businesses and families that graciously donated the door prizes. Butchart Gardens, Jeune Bros Tent & Awning, OK Tire, Prairie Inn, Roof Mart, Roost Winery, Sassy’s Family Restaurant, Spelt’s Coffee Shop, White Spot, Butler Family and Gait Family. Congratulations to all the winners!
Thank you for the services and support of Eurosa Farms, Holy Cow Communication Design, Melting Moments, Sysco, Thrifty Foods and Victoria Party Rentals.
Special thanks to Michell’s Farm for donating the delicious strawberries this year and in many years past!
Thank you to 100+ Women Who Care Saanich Peninsula for their generous contribution of $17,000 in January, 2019 that funded our new furniture and flooring that we were finally able to show off! (Special feature on our website to come!)
Thank you to Grant Hilliard, of Peninsula Co-op, for coming and presenting the $37,826 dollar cheque to Mount Newton Centre Society’s Board President, Steve Butler. Peninsula Co-op is the sole supporter of the complete renovation of our two “Spa” Rooms used for our Bathing Program. (Special feature on our website to come!)
Thank you to our dedicated volunteers and staff that worked so hard to pull this (and every!) special event together! You know who you are! You are loved and appreciated beyond measure!
Our event coincided with a segment about Mount Newton Centre being produced by CHEK news. Their first visit was Tuesday June 4th and they returned on Sunday to wrap up the story nicely. This has provided us with some welcome exposure to our community. Click the link to watch.
